Before starting the designs for the posters I had worked out that each would include an illustration of an animal featured on the Born Free Foundation website for their risk of extinction or poor treatment.
With this in mind I started to look at how I could present these on the page, making the image a focal point without taking away from the important message in the text.
I found that the centred layouts were the ones that looked best out of the selection above, however, this is something that would be primarily dependant on the illustration and whether or not the text will be legible when overlaying it with the image.
I chose to follow the guidelines of these two layouts and see which would work the best with the image:
